Brian Mason served in the Vermont National Guard from Sept 1987-Dec 2006 with the Lyndonville Detachment, then from Jan 2006-Nov 2011 with the Windsor Detachment. From Jan 2010-Jan 2011, he served in Kabul, Afghanistan. He also did rescue operations during Hurricane Irene in Aug 2011.
